YMCA TO MANAGE SCHERTZ REC CENTER IN FEBRUARY
Tue Dec 22 2009

Coming soon to your neighborhood…

The YMCA of Greater San Antonio invites the entire Schertz community to become a part of their family! The new Schertz Recreation Center, located at Schertz Parkway and Elbel Rd. will open in February, will be the newest, and largest addition, to the Organization!

Membership is open and available to everyone, regardless of  age, income, or fitness level. Whether you are a student, an active older adult, a family with or without kids or an adult of any age, the YMCA has a membership type specifically for you!.

Schertz area residents will receive many benefits by joining the YMCA, along with waiving the Joining Fee, a savings of $99.

In February, be on the lookout for Charter Member sign up opportunities. Charter Members are individuals who join prior to opening day and who will receive additional benefits.

Now more than ever, it is important to remain healthy in spirit, mind and body. The YMCA wants to help you develop and maintain healthy lifestyles, or simply show you how to improve them. So come take a group exercise class, play a sport in the gymnasium, bring your kids to our Childwatch, YLand or Teen Center, or climb our Rock Wall. Whatever you chose, you are guaranteed to find a program, activity or class that will meet your needs. Join us for Family fun and fitness in the New Year!

Established in 1876, the YMCA of Greater San Antonio serves a 10-county area through nine branches and strives to build strong kids, strong families and strong communities through various YMCA programs.  The YMCA’s Vision 2010 Plan is to serve the San Antonio community equally by building facilities in more areas.
