Criminal Investigation Division - CID The Criminal Investigation Division is responsible for investigating all types of crime that occur within the city limits of Schertz. Some of the duties include but are not limited to: homicide, suicide, unattended deaths, sexual assaults, child abuse, robbery, missing persons, burglaries and narcotic violations. The Criminal Investigation Division is a part of the Support Services Division and currently reports directly to the Chief of Police. The Detectives are Lt. M. Bane, Detective M. McGuire, Detective E. Spradling, Detective S. Rolison, Sgt. T. Swiecki, and Det. R. Rodriguez. The department also has one officer assigned to DEA for narcotics investigations. Attached to the Support Services Division and reporting directly to Lt. Michael Harris is the Special Projects Officer, Officer C. Duprat. Officer Duprat is in charge of the Citizens Police Academy, Explorer Group, Crime Prevention, Crime Victim's Assistance Program and Sex Offender Registration Program. Officer Duprat is normally available 8-5 Monday /Friday, but can adjust his shift to accommodate special groups such as Neighbor Hood Watch Programs and Home Owners Association meetings. |
